Built between 1974 and 1991, the Citroën CX was immediately viewed as Citroën’s executive model. It was recognisable by its bodywork and a design that was unique for its times with its sloping rear window and boot without a tailgate. Featuring innovations that made it fundamentally different from the rest, the Citroën CX was “car of the year” in 1975.
