The first vehicle designed by Citroën’s founder, the Type A launched the brand and made it a renowned player in mass vehicle production in France and then across Europe. Right from the start, the Type A carried the genes of the brand as set out by André Citroën: an affordable car requiring little maintenance and aimed at the masses, at a time when France was rebuilding, in the aftermath of the First World War.
